Greenwood Academies Trust has a long-standing partnership with the National Institute of Teaching and Education (NITE), part of Coventry University. We work together to create pathways into teaching and provide professional development opportunities for support staff looking to progress their careers in education.

Recently, colleagues from NITE visited Tiffield Academy, a purpose-built all-through SEND school in Northamptonshire. During their visit, they met with trainee teachers and apprentices currently studying through NITE's programmes, gaining valuable insight into their experiences and the impact the courses are having on their professional development.

The visit also provided the NITE team an opportunity to meet with Amy Frohawk, Assistant Principal at Tiffield Academy, who leads on support for Early Career Teachers and trainee teachers. Amy plays a key role in developing teaching talent across the school and ensuring staff have access to high-quality training and progression opportunities.

In the article shared below, Amy shares how NITE's Postgraduate Teacher Apprenticeship with PGCE SEND has become an important part of Tiffield Academy's approach to developing the next generation of SEND specialists, helping staff build rewarding careers while strengthening expertise across the school.
