Congratulations to our GCSE pupils across Greenwood Academies Trust

This week, pupils and staff across Greenwood Academies Trust celebrated GCSE results day.

It has been another brilliant year of results for pupils, and we congratulate them and their families, as well as our brilliant colleagues on their dedication and hard work.

This year, GCSE results day was celebrated at City of Peterborough Academy, Kingswood Secondary Academy, Nottingham Academy, Nottingham Girls’ Academy, Skegness Academy, Stanground Academy, The Brunts Academy, The Wells Academy and Weston Favell Academy, with many pupils now continuing their studies with us at Sixth Form.

Of course, we are incredibly proud of all pupils, but to share a very small sample of these achievements, some individual performances include:

  • Hassan Dahir, from Nottingham Academy, who successfully achieved grade 9s in English language, English literature, biology, physics, chemistry, maths and further maths; two Distinction*s in information technology and enterprise and marketing; a grade 8 in statistics; and a grade 7 in Arabic.
  • Ada Cinar, from City of Peterborough Academy, who celebrated 11 GCSE qualifications with three at grade 9, one at grade 8 and seven at a grade 7.
  • Maya Mansoor, from Nottingham Girls’ Academy, who earned grade 9s in English language, English literature, history, biology, chemistry, physics and sociology; grade 8s in maths and Polish; a grade 7 in statistics; and a grade 6 in Spanish.
  • Jessica Lesniak, from Kingswood Secondary Academy, who received grade 9s in English Literature, English language and history. Jessica also achieved a 9-9 in science, a Level 2 Distinction* in information technology, a Level 2 Distinction in enterprise and marketing and an 8 in maths.
  • Muhammad Imran, from The Wells Academy, who achieved grade 9s in combined science and Urdu; grade 8s in English language, maths and further maths; and a Level 2 Distinction* in sport science.
  • Thomas Latto, from Skegness Academy, who proudly received a 7 in maths, 6s in English literature and geography, a Level 2 Distinction* in sport, a 6-6 in science and a 5 in English language.
  • Miklos Lelesz, from Stanground Academy, who produced an impressive portfolio of nine GCSE and vocational qualifications, including strong grade 6s in English and mathematics and grade 7s in science.
  • Coral Jenkin, from The Brunts Academy, who excelled in achieving grade 9s and a Distinction* across all her chosen GCSEs, including English language, English literature, maths, biology, chemistry, physics, art and drama.
  • Anotida Bhuza, from Weston Favell Academy, who celebrated grade 9s in English literature, geography, French, biology and chemistry. Anotida also achieved a grade 8 in maths, a Distinction* in information technology, 7s in physics and statistics and a 6 in English language.

Brunts Academy

The academy is pleased to celebrate another successful year of GCSE results.

The academy is incredibly proud of its pupils, now looking forward to progressing on to their A-Levels at The Brunts Academy.

While everyone has done well, some impressive individual performances include:

Mohamed Mahmoud celebrates GCSE results today

  • Mohamed Mahmoud, who achieved outstanding results, including Grade 9s in Arabic, English Literature, Biology, Chemistry and Spanish; a Distinction* in Sport Science; and Grade 8s in Statistics, Physics, Maths and English Language. Mohamed will also continue his studies at The Brunts Academy in September.
  • Coral Jenkin, who excelled in achieving the highest grades possible - Grade 9s and a Distinction* across all her chosen GCSEs, including English Language, English Literature, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Art and Drama. Coral will continue her studies at The Brunts Academy Sixth Form next year.
  • William Psenko, who successfully balanced his GCSE studies alongside high-level competition in golf. As the current county champion, William has demonstrated exceptional dedication both academically and in sport and we look forward to supporting his continued success when he joins our sixth form.
  • George Stringer, who demonstrated outstanding commitment and achievement throughout his studies. We are exceptionally proud of his success in securing a highly sought-after apprenticeship with Rolls-Royce, where we know he will thrive and go on to be a success.

City of Peterborough Academy

Pupils and staff at City of Peterborough Academy, located on Reeves Way and part of Greenwood Academies Trust, are really pleased with their GCSE results today.

The Academy is pleased to announce a year of outstanding results for pupils. The whole Academy community is celebrating this success and while all pupils have done well, there have been some impressive individual performances.

These include:

  • Ighosogie Praise Ifaluyi Osagie, who achieved an impressive nine GCSE qualifications - eight grade 9s and one  grade 8.
  • Alfie Shinn, who celebrates eight GCSE qualifications with two grade 9s, five  grade 8s and a Distinction* .
  • Smilte Turskyte, who earned eight GCSE qualifications. This includes three grade 9s, three grade 8s and two grade 7s.
  • Ada Cinar, who received achieved 11 GCSE qualifications with three at grade 9, one at grade 8 and seven at a grade 7.
  • Areesha Umran, who successfully achieved nine GCSE qualifications - four grade 8s and five grade 7s.

Kingswood Secondary Academy

Pupils and staff at Kingswood Secondary Academy, located on Gainsborough Road and part of Greenwood Academies Trust, are celebrating their GCSE results today.

The Academy is pleased to announce a year of excellent results. The Academy is incredibly proud of its pupils, many of whom are now looking forward to progressing onto their Level 3 studies at the Academy.

While all pupils have done well, there have been some impressive individual performances. These include:

  • Jessica Lesniak, who successfully achieved a grade 9 in English Literature, English language and history. Jessica also achieved a 9-9 in science, a Level 2 Distinction* in information technology; a Level 2 Distinction in enterprise and marketing; and an 8 in maths.
  • Erbjona Cupi, who earned a grade 9 in English literature, English language and history; a Level 2 Distinction* in enterprise and marketing; grade 8 in maths and religious studies; and an 8-7 in science.
  • Ivana Tomasevic, who received a 9 in religious studies, grades 9-8 in science and grade 8s in geography and maths. Ivana also achieved grade 7s in English language, English literature and statistics.
  • Rochelle Mwarewangepo, who celebrates grade 9s in English literature, English language, history and Spanish; grade 7s in maths and statistics; and a 6-6 in science.
  • Rex Wong, who achieved grade 9s in Chinese, English literature and maths. Rex also achieved a 9-9 in science, a grade 8 in statistics, a grade 7 in history, a Level 2 Merit in information technology and a 6 in music and English language.

Nottingham Academy

The Academy is pleased to announce a year of excellent results for pupils, many of whom are now looking forward to progressing onto their A Levels at the Academy.

  • Rayan Mohamed Fahir, who celebrates a grade 9 in maths, biology and chemistry; a Distinction** in sport science; a grade 8 in physics and further maths; a grade 7 in English language, geography and statistics; and a grade 5 in English literature.
  • Mohammad Ilyas Bilal, who celebrates a grade 9 in biology; a Distinction** in sport science; a grade 8 in English language, maths, chemistry and religious studies; and a grade 7 in English literature, further maths, physics and statistics.

Nottingham Girls' Academy

The Academy is delighted to announce another year of strong results for pupils. The whole Academy community is incredibly proud of everyone receiving results today, many of whom are now looking forward to progressing onto their A Levels at the Academy.

  • Yasmeen Abbas, who celebrates grade 9 in English language, maths, geography and sociology; grade 8s in biology, chemistry, physics, English literature and further maths; and a grade 7 in Spanish.
  • Sumeyya Matloob, who earned grade 9s in maths, geography, biology, chemistry and physics; grade 8s in English literature and Spanish; a grade 7 in English language; and a grade 6 in art.
  • Safia Afzal, who successfully achieved grade 9s in maths, computer science, biology and chemistry; grade 8s in English literature, physics, Spanish and further maths; and Grade 6s in English language, history and statistics.

Skegness Academy

The Academy is pleased to announce a year of positive results for pupils and. the whole school community is incredibly proud. Many pupils are now looking forward to progressing onto their Level 3 qualifications at the Academy.

While all pupils have done well, there have been some impressive individual performances. These include:

  • Mya Bexon – who successfully achieved an 8 in English literature, 7s in English language and history, a Level 2 Distinction* in dance, a 6 in geography, a 5 in statistics, a 4 in maths 4 and a 44 in science.
  • Imogen Henson – who celebrates 7s in English language and history, a 6 in English literature, a Level 2 Distinction* in health and social care, a Level 2 Distinction in art, a 5 in statistics, a 4 in maths and 44 in science.
  • Thomas Latto – who earned a 7 in maths, a Level 2 Distinction* in sport, a 66 in science, 6s in English literature and geography and a 5 in English language.
  • Paris Woodward – who received a Level 2 Distinction* in child development; a Level 2 Distinction in creative media; 6s in English language, English literature and history; 5s in statistics and maths; and a 44 in science.
  • Harrison Wilson-Green – who achieved a Level 2 Distinction* in sport; a 7 in history; 6s in English language, English literature and maths; a 5 in statistics; a 54 in science; and a Level 2 Pass in hospitality and catering.
  • Anthony Delderfield – who received a Level 2 Distinction in performing arts; a 7 in textiles; 6s in English language, English literature and history; 5s in maths and statistics; and a 55 in science.
  • Alanah Stones – who proudly celebrates a Level 2 Distinction in child development; 6s in English language, English literature, history and maths; a 5 in statistics; and a 55 in science.

Stanground Academy

The Academy is delighted to announce another year of brilliant results for pupils. The Academy is incredibly proud of its pupils, many of whom are now looking forward to progressing onto their post-16 pathways at the Academy.

While everyone has done well, several pupils achieved particularly outstanding individual results, including:

  • Henry Tracey, who delivered a truly exceptional performance, attaining seven grade 9s, including English and mathematics, alongside two grade 8s.
  • Daniel Atolagbe, who celebrated success across his studies, attaining six grade 9s, two grade 8s and a Distinction, with top grades achieved in both English and mathematics.
  • Vedanti Rathod, who excelled across the curriculum, attaining nine impressive GCSE grades, including a grade 8 in mathematics, a Grade 7 in English and a clean sweep of grade 8s in triple science.
  • Goodness Akhalumenyo, who achieved an outstanding set of results, attaining seven qualifications at grades 8 to 6, alongside exceptional Distinction* awards in both IT and health and social care.
  • Miklos Lelesz, who produced an impressive portfolio of nine GCSE and vocational qualifications, including strong grade 6s in English and mathematics and grade 7s in science.

These achievements reflect the commitment, perseverance and ambition of all pupils, supported every step of the way by dedicated staff and families.

The Wells Academy

The Academy is thrilled to announce a year of very successful results. While incredibly proud of all pupils, some impressive individual performances include:

  • Rawezh Diari, who successfully achieved grade 9s in English language, maths, combined science and further maths; a Level 2 Distinction* in hospitality and catering; and a Level 2 Distinction in health and social care.
  • Muhammad Imran, who earned grade 9s in combined science and Urdu; grade 8s in English language, maths and further maths; and a Level 2 Distinction*in sport science.
  • Maria Salla Pereira, who received grade 8s in English language, English literature, religious studies, biology, chemistry and Spanish; a grade 9 in Portuguese; and a Level 2 Distinction* in health and social care.

Weston Favell Academy

 

The whole Academy community is incredibly proud of all pupils, many of whom are now looking forward to progressing onto their A Levels at the Academy.

  • Debbie Adeleye, who successfully achieved grade 9s in English language, geography, maths, chemistry, biology, physics and art; a Distinction* in hospitality and catering; a Distinction in music; and grade 8s In English literature and statistics.
  • Adriana Bednerek, who achieved grade 9s in English literature, history, biology, chemistry and physics. Adriana also achieved a Distinction* in hospitality and catering, 8s in maths and statistics and a grade 7 in English language.
  • Oliver Boyal, who earned grade 9s in English literature, geography and combined science; a Distinction* in sport science; grade 8s in maths and English language; and a grade 7 in statistics.
  • Antonia Stavaru, who celebrates grade 9s in English language, English literature, physics, chemistry and biology; a Distinction* in health and social care; and grade 8s in French, statistics and maths.
  • Anotida Bhuza, who received grade 9s in English literature, geography, French, biology and chemistry. Anotida also achieved a grade 8 in maths, a Distinction* in IT, 7s in physics and statistics and a 6 in English language.
