Tiffield Academy Marks Its First Ever World Book Day in Style!

Tiffield Academy has celebrated its very first World Book Day with energy, imagination and a whole‑school commitment to fostering a love of reading. As Principal Emma Butler shared, “As it’s Tiffield Academy’s first World Book Day, we went big!”

Pupils and staff came together to mark this important moment in the Academy’s journey, transforming classrooms into vibrant, literary‑inspired spaces and showcasing the creativity that sits at the heart of the school community. The day offered opportunities for every child to engage with books in ways that were joyful, inclusive and meaningful, reflecting GAT’s wider commitment to nurturing curiosity, confidence and lifelong learning.

Highlights included:

  • Celebratory activities across the Academy, bringing characters and stories to life in ways that captured pupils’ imaginations.
  • A strong sense of community pride, as staff and pupils embraced the occasion together.
  • A focus on belonging and identity, with activities that encouraged children to see themselves in stories and discover new authors and ideas.

As this was the Academy’s first year marking the event, the scale and enthusiasm behind the celebrations signal the beginning of a new and exciting tradition for the school. The positive energy from the day also spilled across GAT’s social platforms, with updates being shared on X and LinkedIn to showcase the pupils’ achievements and Tiffield’s growing story to the wider Trust community.

Tiffield Academy’s first World Book Day stands as a testament to the leadership, ambition and values of its community. We look forward to seeing this annual celebration grow year on year as pupils continue to discover the power and joy of reading.
